It's an alright game, pretty casual friendly since it doesn't really punish you for dying, so you can keep going even if you're really bad at the game, it also respawns you right where you died.Looks and sounds pretty good, gameplay is fun alright, story mode has a ton of text to read for a shmup game, so that's an extra if you like it.If you want punishment look somewhere else, this is not your 3 lives or GTFO shmup.Still a recommend to get during a sale, it's a good enough game to spend 1 or 2 dollars on if you like shmups.. I acutally do think this is a good game, but It's just not for me.I am a shoot 'em up fan but the game had many issues on me.First of all it crashed when I tried fullscreen.Then with the second start I just tried to play in that small window. the game was incredibly fast and I thought.. what the hell is happening?I restarted the game again and tried fullscreen again. Started to play and everything was much slower (now at the speed it was supposed to be)When I accidently hit windows button the game crashed again.That took all the excitement from me and I refunded.Also the bosses are somehow way too easy, I love big boss fights but these are just "meh". On the one hand....good music! Space lesbians! (kinda maybe?) A story! Mostly fun gameplay/mechanics!On the other hand...you can't slow down your ship like in Cave shmups and etc., the translation is kinda wonky, and, well....So the game has this mechanic where you build up a bar by shooting enemies and when the bar is full you can shoot screen-clearing beams that turn enemy shots into medals. The game is kinda built around this! The problem is that when I say 'the game is built around this' i mean 'i hope you like the screen near-constantly being saturated with bullets in the later levels with no rhyme or reason!' Even with a little wiggle room ('cos you have a shield) I went through like three continues in the last two levels alone. :vThat said, it's still pretty neat, just.....y'know, maybe get it on sale if that last part sounds overwhelming.. This is a great bullet heaven, and a good choice for first-time shmup players.Tons of weak enemies to absolutely decimated and plenty of rather satisfying weapons to do it with.. I can't possibly tell if the game is good or not because:- when my desktop is set to 144 Hz, the game runs way too fast- when I disable "use maximum refresh" from the NVidia control panel, the game runs... way too slowI suppose it would work if I set my desktop to 60 Hz but I don't want to do that. Tired of those games not running properly without messing around.. - Terrible translation with grammatical mistakes everywhere. There's a story and even voice acting, but I didn't care enough to read what was going on.- Non-stop chaotic, intense bullet patterns, not fun to play. The only saving grace is that you have a shield, so you don't die in one hit.- Bland uninspired levels. Actually, I think it even reused the same level template multiple times.- Bland uninspired bosses + enemies. Same enemies, same boss (but slightly different looking) every single time.+ There seems to be a lot to unlock, at least.I got this for 50 cents and I still feel cheated. Get something else instead unless you're starved for a SHMUP.
